Roy Morgan

Roy Morgan is an Emeritus Professor at Cranfield University from where he retired as Assistant Director of the National Soil Resources Institute in 2004.  His long-standing interest in international cricket among the non-test-playing countries began when living and working in Malaysia in the late 1960s, since when he has collected international match scores and player statistics for all the associate and affiliate countries of the ICC.  Before that he was a regular scorer for cricket sides from the Under-13 at school through to university at Southampton.  He has a keen interest in the social history and geography of cricket world-wide.  He has written and edited several books in his professional field of soil erosion and conservation, most recently Soil erosion and conservation (3rd edition, Blackwell Publishing).  This is his first book on cricket.
